Eskom nears 5-year record: 200 days of no load shedding

Eskom announced it has successfully avoided load shedding for 200 consecutive days, attributing this milestone to its Generation Operational Recovery Plan, which has decreased unplanned outages by 8.6% and raised the energy availability factor (EAF) by 7.7%. Group CEO Dan Marokane highlighted the dedication of Eskom employees in achieving this outcome. With an EAF target of 70% by March 2025, Eskom also launched its National Transmission Company to offer fair grid access and support turnaround efforts.
